Camp at Ioannina:  the campsite was by the lakeside at Ioannina, against the backdrop of the lower slopes of the Pindos mountains. In the evenings, the frogs in the nearby reed beds sang noisily like the chorus from an Aristophanes comedy

Theatre at Dodona:  built in the 3rd century BC for the Naian festival, the theatre of the Oracle of Zeus at Dodona  is one of the largest in Greece, holding 18,000 spectators. It looks out across a beautiful valley on the side of 6,500 feet high Mount Tomaros in Epiros

History & Botany combined: this photo very much sums up the multi- interest aspects of our trip - Sheila examining 6 foot high Great Mullein plants, while I marvel at the brickwork remains of the Roman theatre of Nikopolis, founded by Octavian after defeating Antony & Cleopatra at the naval battle of Actium in 31 BC

Sunset over Ionian Sea:  our camp near Proveza by the shore on the Ionian Sea, looked westwards through the reeds towards Italy where we shall be sailing on Saturday. But there are still things we want to do before then
