Ljutomer to Ormož wine road:
the lane winds around the hills between the terraced vine-yards. This must be one of the most picturesque wine-growing regions of Slovenia, and almost every farm offers their wines for tasting, an invitation we naturally took up

Zagreb Cathedral:  after an interval of 30 years, we took the opportunity for a day visit to Croatia's capital city by train. We had recollections of the cathedral stonework being black, but major cleaning and restoration work has since taken place. And the flower market was still as remembered

River Krka:  near Kostanjevica village. We spent several days camped by the river bank along the middle part of the Krka valley, visiting this part of Dolenjska province; later we followed the river up to its source, where it emerged from a Karst cave
