Carcassonne medieval city: looking almost like a film set for a medieval epic production, the panorama of Carcassonne's fortifications stand out in spectacular fashion from the surrounding building sites and busy roads of the modern city |  |
Carcassonne:
the medieval city was just 15 minutes walk from our campsite; although
heavily restored, the ramparts and fortifications offered endless
photographic potential, despite the gloomy weather and misty drizzle on
the day of our visit
