circumnavigation of the Baltic.
The 8.700 mile journey
starts and ends at Lübeck, passing through Northern Germany and
along
the Pomeranian coast of Poland. After exploration of
Lithuania, Latvia and
Estonia, the return journey crosses the Gulf of Finland to Helsinki,
and follows the Northern Baltic seaboard through Finland, the Turku
Archipelago and Åland Islands. Across the Bothnian Gulf, the journey
concludes around Sweden's south-east coast, finally re-crossing the
Baltic to its start-point
at Lübeck.
